The Arkansas Economic Development Commission Film Division was created in 1979 to promote Arkansas to film, video, television and commercial production companies.
Services include
- Provide information to filmmakers considering Arkansas, such as potential locations, agents and crew information
- Assisting filmmakers while in the state
- Accompanying them on scouting trips
- Introducing them to community leaders, officials, landowners and others who can assist the production company
- Acting as a liaison with other agencies and local officials
- Promoting interest and developing capability of filmmakers and local film commissions within Arkansas
