Arkansas communities can receive numerous types of assistance from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission Staff. Together with leaders and concerned citizens in communities, staff members can assist in establishing goals and objectives, energy code adoption, preparing for a film project and applying for grants that would benefit the entire community.
The Community Development Division emphasizes global trends and how Arkansas communities can be prepared to compete globally. Our focus on technology in the energy field addresses alternative sources of power and fuels. Communities are encouraged to get connected to the Internet and with each other through local technology planning. The film industry provides opportunities for Arkansans to utilize their technological skills through animation and other computer-based activities.
