The Small and Minority Business Division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission function is to improve business and economic opportunities in Arkansas for small and minority-owned businesses by establishing, preserving, strengthening and promoting the growth and development of such businesses. The Division administers the minority business enterprise certification program and also provides management and technical support to our businesses.

Goals:

To promote the growth and development of small and minority owned businesses
To act as an advocate so that an equitable portion of State procurement contracts be awarded to minority owned businesses
To encourage minority businesses that want state contracts to become certified
