Elizabeth Walker
Elizabeth was appointed to the ARDC in 2017 to a two year term by Speaker Jeremy Gillam and serves on the Block Grant sub-committee. Elizabeth and her husband, Brian, own and operate a poultry and cattle farm located near Horatio. Elizabeth received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and worked as a senior process engineer in the paper industry for 9 years. She is a graduate of the Little River County Leadership program and Arkansas Farm Bureau Presidential Leadership Council. Elizabeth is a 2015 graduate of The Lead Arkansas (LeadAR) program that included an international study tour to the Baltics where she studied the agricultural and socioeconomics of Lithuania, Latvia, & Estonia. Elizabeth has served as the Arkansas Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher State Committee Co-Chair and has served on the Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas nominating committee. She currently serves on the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture Dean’s Executive Advisory Board, Sevier County Farm Service Agency Committee, and the Vice President of the Horatio School District Board of Directors. Elizabeth & her family were recognized as the 2009 Sevier County and West Central Arkansas Farm Family of the Year. Elizabeth attends the Williamson Community Church and serves as the VBS director. Elizabeth currently works on the family farm, which allows her more time to spend with her two children, Reese & Rhett. She enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, and beekeeping.
