He served as in-house legal counsel to Deltic Timber Corporation of El Dorado, Arkansas from 2001 to 2018 and as its Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary from 2010 to 2018. He is a licensed attorney in the states of Arkansas and Texas, specializing in corporate law, and attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander while serving in the United States Navy Reserve from 1995 to 2006. He has previously served on the Alumni Association Board and the Foundation Board of Southern Arkansas University and currently serves on the Business Advisory Council for the Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University.
