Three Arkansas Companies Named to 2024 “Best Places to Work in Fintech” List

Three Arkansas companies were recently named among the best companies to work for in the financial technology industry.

American Banker recognized Teslar Software of Springdale, Smiley Technologies of Little Rock, and BOND.AI of Little Rock on its “Best Places to Work in Fintech” list for 2024. This annual list highlights and ranks the top 40 companies to work for in the fintech industry.

For both Teslar Software and Smiley Technologies, this is the fourth consecutive year the companies have made the American Banker list. This is BOND.AI’s first year on the list.

Based in Springdale, Teslar Software is a fintech company that works to automate banking activities and provides loan portfolio management tools. Smiley Technologies is a core banking software company that aims to provide “secure, innovative banking solutions, and exceptional customer service to promote value strategic partnerships.” BOND.AI describes itself as a “human-centered AI platform for banking powered by the world’s first EmpathyEngine®.”

American Banker’s “Best Places to Work in Fintech” list was created in cooperation with the Best Companies Group as part of a two-step selection process. Companies were first required to complete a survey about the policies and benefits offered to employees. The second part was an engagement and satisfaction survey, covering leadership and work environment, that was completed by the companies’ employees.

In Arkansas, financial technology companies are thriving, supported by a strong banking environment and industry resources. Arkansas is home to a wide range of successful banks – from local community banks to national banks – and an industry-friendly regulatory environment headed by the Arkansas State Bank Department. Organizations like the Venture Center are also helping grow and develop the fintech industry in Arkansas. Through the FIS Fintech Accelerator, the Venture Center plays an important role in accelerating the growth of promising fintech companies around the globe.
