Galley Support Innovations Inc. holds ribbon cutting and announcement ceremony in Sherwood

The ceremony included announcements involving eight (8) new Aerospace Contracts and two (2) Aerospace Contract Renewals, as well as the award of the Community Block Development Grant of $120,000 dollars that will allow GSI to double its workforce over the next 3-5 years and helped purchase new machines used in the expansion

Speakers included Chad Causey, Executive Director of the Arkansas Aerospace Alliance, City of Sherwood Mayor, Virginia Hillman Young, and Lieutenant Governor, Tim Griffin.

Announcement of New Contracts:

GSI has been awarded 8 multi-year, Multimillion dollar contracts to supply the interior hardware for some of aviation’s largest corporate and private jet manufacturers. The contracts will bring in an estimated over 3.5 million annually in revenue for GSI once the aircraft go into production. The longest contract is 15 years, putting its renewal date in 2030.

GSI designed and manufactured the interior hardware for the first ever private Boeing 747-8 for Greenpoint Technologies.  After completing the Boeing 747, GSI was asked to supply custom hardware for the private Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

These new contracts will bring a 1.5 million increase into the state’s economy due to the fact that 95% of GSI’s vendors are in state.

Contract Renewals included:

Jamco America and Boeing galleys. Both contracts are estimated to bring in over $250,000 annually.
