Applications now open for Fuel: An Enterprise Growth Engine for Supply Chain startups

 October 02, 2018

Fuel is a 16-week, collaborative program that matches early-stage, supply chain-focused startups with key enterprise partners in order to accelerate the development of tangible solutions to some of the industry’s biggest supply chain and logistics challenges. Applications are now open: www.fuelaccelerator.com/apply/

BENTONVILLE, AR – RevUnit and Startup Junkie have teamed up to launch a 16-week startup training program in 2019. Fuel is designed to level up supply chain innovation companies to the point that they are prepared to talk to buyers, run successful pilot programs, and navigate the landscape of large clients in order to make a sale.

“Northwest Arkansas is the perfect home for a program like Fuel. The region has a density around supply chain knowledge, and most of the globe’s largest customers have a major presence in the region. We’re excited to be launching this program with a partner like RevUnit” said Haley Allgood, Executive Director of Startup Junkie Foundation.

The partnership between Startup Junkie and RevUnit is a natural fit. Startup Junkie is a leader in the state’s entrepreneurial community bringing the experience of ten growth accelerators. RevUnit is an organization with expertise in the supply chain vertical, a track record as a key technology partner for Fortune 500 enterprises, and proven experience in scaling a technology company to produce the results that participants in the program are seeking.

“RevUnit is proud to deepen its support of entrepreneurship in Northwest Arkansas through Fuel,” added Mason McClelland, Product Owner at RevUnit. “By bringing promising startups together with enterprise leaders, we’re confident that we can uncover innovative new approaches to the types of challenges that our clients face every day.”

Fuel is specifically designed for early- and growth-stage supply chain innovation companies to scale and become enterprise ready. Through this program, participants will receive mentorship and education within their vertical of Supply Chain, as well as coaching and connections to create actionable business outcomes with new partners and potential customers.

A key aspect to becoming enterprise ready is engagement with industry partners early and often throughout the program. There will be a 3:1 mentor to participant ratio, pairing companies with experts in the supply chain field representing potential customers, successful entrepreneurs, and other technology companies.

Applications for Fuel open October 1st, and selections will be made on a rolling basis through November of 2018. The program will run from January 22nd - May 17th of 2019, and will be hosted at Exchange Bentonville.

Fuel will not take an equity stake in the participant companies. The program is funded by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, as part of the Arkansas Business and Technology Accelerator Grant Program, so that there is no cost for companies to participate. The purpose of this program is to stimulate corporate growth, and new high wage jobs.
