CoorsTek doubles down on expansion in Benton

April 26, 2021 (Benton, Ark.) – CoorsTek, a world-leading engineered ceramics manufacturer, is announcing an additional expansion of its manufacturing footprint in Benton, Arkansas. In 2020, construction was completed on a $26M building expansion at the Benton facility for additional manufacturing operations in the aerospace and defense markets. This new expansion will bring additional manufacturing operations to the site unrelated to the previous expansion.

“The expansion of our Benton facility is a key step in our long-term strategy for CoorsTek supporting the evolution and innovation in the defense and aerospace markets,” said Jonathan Coors, Co-CEO.  “Benton has long been an important manufacturing hub for us, and the support and partnership we have experienced from both local and state governments has been a driving factor in our desire for continued investment in Arkansas.”

The expansion will amount to an additional $9 million in capital investments at the 230,000 square foot facility and increase its workforce, adding 50 new positions over the next few years. The Benton facility has served U.S. and international customers in the aerospace and defense industries since 1979.

Asa Hutchinson. “Here they are again, creating more jobs and further polishing Arkansas’ reputation in the defense and aerospace markets.
