Taber Extrusions Breaks Ground on $70M Expansion in Russellville, Arkansas

(April 7, 2025) – Taber Extrusions has broken ground on its new facility expansion, which will introduce the largest direct extrusion press in North America, in Russellville, Arkansas. Taber Extrusions is investing $70 million in its Russellville operations as part of the expansion, and this investment is expected to create 70 new jobs.

Construction at the Russellville site will include a 125,000 square-foot facility for added manufacturing and fabrication capacity.
“This investment is the result of proactive efforts across the board: pro-growth policies from my administration, a business-driven mindset in Russellville, and our active presence at events like the Farnborough Airshow,” said Governor Sanders. “I’m truly grateful to this incredible Arkansas company for their continued commitment to the Natural State.”
The expansion was originally announced by Governor Sanders, Taber executives, and state officials during the 2024 Farnborough Air Show. The announcement was made at the USA Partnership Pavilion in July 2024.
“Breaking ground on Taber Extrusions’ latest expansion is a major economic development win here in Russellville, Arkansas,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “Taber Extrusions is an expanding company that has found success in Arkansas, and Russellville is a community that prioritizes its business sector, creating a perfect opportunity for economic growth in the River Valley region."
The state-of-the-art 10,000 UST Front Load, Direct press features cutting-edge machinery featuring a 16-inch (406mm) container and can handle profiles up to 600mm wide. It is designed to meet the rigorous demands of the aerospace industry and is expected to go live in 2026.
Founded in 1973, Taber Extrusions has operated in Arkansas for more than five decades, providing comprehensive solutions for aluminum extrusions. The company expanded its operations in Russellville multiple times, including in 2014 with the addition of fabrication capabilities, in 2019 with the addition of state-of-the-art friction stir welding technology, and in 2021 with the addition of a Haas Vf-12 CNC machining line.
